Let me show you how to go back 2 basics, the right way!

Are you trying to look good for school or a day out with out looking like you tried too hard? Here's a tip - you can always spice up the most simple outfit with a little texture! Start with a basic top that you can add things like jackets, cardis, hats, or bottoms to that have a interesting texture.  I always like to start with an American Apparel piece on top because they have the best basics in all kinds of colors and shapes. I then go for some unusual but casual denim and shoes to keep it practical but chic. If you are looking for some good denim check out  GJG Denim. They have a variety of cool styles like the ripped bf jeans I'm wearing in this post. They're super stretchy and comfortable and fit me like a glove. Another way to amp up a basic fit is with a pop of color. You could get this with a contrasting pair of colorful shoes or by color-blocking with a backpack and glasses like I did. Using multiple elements of a different color for your outfit is a sure way to make it look interesting!
